Privacy Policy

Overview

WristBench is a Garmin benchmark service sponsored by WristTale. This policy explains what information is collected when you use the watch app, upload a benchmark result, visit the leaderboard website, or contact support.

Information We Collect

  • Benchmark metrics, including logic time, memory time, storage I/O time, UI frame count, calculated scores, and app version.
  • Device information needed to group and compare results, including Garmin part number or model, firmware version, Connect IQ version, and screen size.
  • A device identifier used for deduplication. The server receives this identifier during upload, converts it into a cryptographic hash, and uses the hash to avoid duplicate records for the same device. The raw identifier is not intentionally displayed on the website.
  • Technical request information, such as IP address and request time, which may be processed for security, abuse prevention, rate limiting, and basic operation of the service.
  • Email address and message content if you contact us at the support email address.

Information We Do Not Collect

WristBench does not collect Garmin health, activity, location, heart rate, payment, or account login data. The website does not use advertising profiles and does not require a user account to view rankings.

How We Use Information

  • To calculate benchmark scores and show public rankings by device model.
  • To deduplicate repeated uploads from the same device.
  • To detect abuse, limit repeated submissions, and keep the leaderboard reliable.
  • To respond to support requests.
  • To maintain, debug, and improve WristBench.

What Is Public

Public leaderboard entries may show model-level averages and per-run benchmark values. Expanded run details may include a shortened hashed run identifier, screen size, Connect IQ version, metrics, and scores. We do not publish the raw device identifier.

Sharing

We do not sell benchmark submissions or contact information. We may use service providers to host, secure, and operate the website and API. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the service from abuse.

Retention and Deletion

Benchmark submissions may be retained while the leaderboard is active. Short-term rate-limit records expire automatically. You may request deletion of a submitted benchmark by emailing benchmark-support@wristtale.com with enough detail to identify the record.

Children

WristBench is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
